Facilities at Luna and The UN-Chained Gang's Haven

Here at Luna, Peaberry and the UN-Chained Gang's Eden Mountain Lodge and Eden Ethical Dog Sledding we offer two choices of wonderful Vermont homes to stay in.

Our Canine Haven and Dog Center hide-a-way is located down a specially built, two-mile access road located on 140 acres surrounded with over three thousand acres of preserved Vermont Land Trust forest. It is so quiet here that you can hear the sun and stars move — well, so quiet that you can enjoy the bird songs, woodpeckers, the breeze as it moves through the trees, the seasonal night sounds of peepers, bullfrogs and  owls —you can actually hear yourself think as you unwind in our special corner of Vermont. During your stay you never have to leave Eden Mountain as there are enough leisurely activities onsite to keep anyone occupied.  All you need to do is load your car with groceries and gourmet goodies and your choice of beloved activities: snowshoes, x-country skis, hiking boots - or the novels you have been looking to curl up with, a journal, knitting, cross word puzzles, or just your need-to-relax-away-from-the-fast-pace-self  and you're ready for a wonderful, relaxing getaway.  For the more adventuresome - use our vacation homes as your base for exploring the Vermont villages, artisan cheese, bread, beer and craft stores, and the many unique attractions of the Northeast Kingdom, Stowe or Burlington areas - and outdoor water and ski events at Craftsbury Outdoors center.

Both homes have modern amenities and are furnished with linens, tableware cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies; as well as full size washers/dryers, wireless internet, gas grill, campfire/picnic area, DVD, and out-your-door access to hiking/skiing trails, backroads for biking, walking and exploring. You only need to bring your food, hiking boots, skiing, books and favorite quiet activities!

Many dog loving families and groups plan their birthdays,  holidays, anniversaries and reunions here at THE UN-Chained Gang's Eden Mountain Lodges and Eden Ethical Dog Adventures

Luna's LARKSPUR LODGE — Two bedroom, one bath log cabin.

Tucked under the trees this historical log home is truly out of a storybook. Park your vehicle and step back in time as you ascend the steps to the wide, high-peaked-ceiling porch that is perfect for reading, sitting, talking or bird watching.  The front door opens into the low, charming, log-beamed ceiling great room of yesteryear. The windows look out onto the far field and the private lawn of the side yard — pretty views all year long.  The cozy propane fireplace divides the room and is a four season favorite of our guests.  The kitchen is to the right as you enter, complete with an antique stove, modern four-burner gas stove and oven, and large refrigerator.

Lot's of space and plenty of beds make this a great retreat for extended families and groups of friends, while still being cozy enough for a romantic retreat for two -- or you and your dog!

The lodging is very comfortable and the setting is one-of-a-kind.  Enjoy scenic walks with your pets. Relax by the pond or the cozy propane fireplace. Grill on the outdoor stone fireplace with your family and friends.  In the winter ski, snowshoe or go dogsledding on our private trail system.  Wake up to views of rich meadows and rolling mountains.  Recharge your mental batteries with this quintessential Vermont experience.

Eden Mountain Lodge is also the year round home of Eden Ethical Dog Sledding Adventures and Tours with the UN-Chained Gang -  our friendly pack of Alaskan Huskies.  Ask about bringing your Canine family members - well behaved four-footed guests are welcome at Luna's Larkspur cabin, where they have access to a fenced outdoor run.
