Eden Mountain Lodge Maintains a Sled Dog Kennel of 20 Alaskan Huskies
We focus on fun, learning, and mushing tours with dogsledding-on-wheels (click to learn more) during Spring, Summer and Fall as much as we do during our Winter season on snow.
Champion Musher Jim Blair, who also owns the lodge, is happy to show you how. Mushing lessons are available. Please check our Eden Dog Sledding site for more information.
We also host the Northeast Kingdom Classic sled dog races in January.
Mushing Packages "Mountain of Eden" Adventures
Experience the thrill, challenges and excitement. Let our Musher with a team of Alaskan Huskies, take you through winding woodland trails, and over scenic mountain meadows. Spectacular Alpine views and ample opportunity to observe the local wildlife, including Moose. One to twelve mile runs within our private 1700' elevation mountaintop trail system, that provides abundant snow pack and usability from December through May.
We provide many custom tailored packages for individuals or groups:
Most popular — Two hours, 8-12 miles, depending upon conditions, for one couple riding in the sled. Tandem sledding also available.
Drive your own 3-4 Dog team — Mountain of Eden Adventures: Is a three day learning, adventure experience, that is an excellent way to learn the ins and outs of dog sledding or as the sledders themselves call it "Mushing.":
NOTES
While some in a group are riding, others can Snowshoe, Cross Country Ski, or read a book in the heated office.
Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate on the house!
All rides are by appointment only.
Please visit our Eden Dog Sledding site for more information, rates, specials and beautiful photos.
